Hey, I'm Yashvir Sabharwal! I am a freshman at Harvard College. I'm fascinated by how we can use technology to unlock the secrets of the brain. My current research aims to reconstruct natural vision from brain activity using fMRI and EEG data, with the goal of advancing brain-computer communication for those with neurological conditions.

Beyond research, I'm the co-founder of the International Research Olympiad (IRO), an initiative to get students excited about science. We've launched research clubs in over 300 schools across 89 countries. Outside of that, I'm a private pilot & fly for the United States Air Force Auxiliary. We present MindEye, an fMRI-to-image model with parallel retrieval (contrastive learning) and reconstruction (diffusion prior) submodules that achieves state-of-the-art performance, enabling accurate image retrieval from large-scale databases like LAION-5B.
